Broncos coach McDaniels named Kyle Orton as starting quarterback

On Saturday, Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels finally decided who will take the team's starting quarterback job. The selected one is the former Chicago Bears quarterback, Kyle Orton.

Chris Simms, who was competing with Orton for the job, became the team's back up. McDaniels said that he chose Orton because he has grasped some of them more quickly than Chris did. Indeed. Orton just prove this by taking all the snaps behind the first-team offensive line during Saturday's practice.

"I'm obviously really excited," said Orton, who was a key piece to the Cutler deal that also included four high draft picks. "It's really just the beginning for me in this offense and hopefully I'll continue to improve every day and get the offense where we need to be come the season."

This guy completed 272 of 465 passes for 2,812 yards with Chicago last season, throwing 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He's appeared in 33 games during his three-year pro career after starting at Purdue University. Hopefully he will do better in the coming season.
