After trading Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles now have only two quarterbacks on roster, and it seems that they are determined to get some rookie quarterback from draft with one of the 11 draft picks they have on hand currently.
The Eagles now have Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick, who is believed to be on the Eagles’ list of tradable players. By so far there have been several signs of Eagles planning to draft a quarterback. One of them is that offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was sent to see Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford throw, and other signs include their contact with John Skelton of Fordham and Florida’s Tim Tebow. But prior to get any of the possible rookies, the Eagles should try to trade Vick first to clear room for new backup to Kolb.
Anyhow, with 11 picks in hand, the Eagles do have good choices of needed players. That number of picks will not only allow them to fix problem with game passers but also allow them to cover quite a few other needs. At moment we can keep eyes on possible teams to sign away Vick and possible rookies to put on Eagles jerseys.

Tony Dungy said Bills could be Vick’s next team
During Sunday’s pregame show before the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Dallas Cowboys, an inevitable topic is Michael Vick. So Tony Dungy, now a commentator for NBC, told something new about the quarterback.
The Super Bowl-winning coach retired from the Colts said that it was the Buffalo Bills who originally talked with Vick after he finished serving 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring. And the Bills will potentially become Vick’s next team if the Eagles do not want to keep Vick after the $1.6 million contract for 2009 with a team option for the second year at $5.2 million expires.
“I told Michael to just worry about this year,” Dungy said. “It’s technically up to Philadelphia. If they want him back, he has to stay there. If they don’t, there are some teams looking for quarterbacks: Cleveland, St. Louis and Washington. But I think a dark horse is Buffalo. They talked originally. There was some communication there. I think that could be a good spot.”
The Bills current starting quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick. The career backup got the starting job because the original starter, Trent Edwards has been struggling with a concussion. Not sure if the team still would like to have Vick as the quarterback, still wearing No.7 NFL jersey, has played sparingly this season.

McNabb was not happy with the way Vick was used
Earlier reports said that the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Donovan McNabb was the one who initiated signing of Michael Vick. But after Thursday’s preseason game, there were reports that McNabb was not all that pleased with Vick’s playing.
Thursday night’s game was Vick’s Eagles debut and reports said that his playing interrupted the offense McNabb led. McNabb was seen unhappily discussing with offensive coordinator Marty Mornhigweg. He appeared to be telling Morningweg the Vick plays were disrupting the offense's rhythm and momentum. Seemingly to prove it, the offense moved much better under McNabb’s control after Vick left the field.
Eagles coach Andy Reid downplayed the speculation and Mornhinweg declined to comment when he was asked by reporters about the discussion with McNabb. But quite a few players confirmed that the starting quarterback was unhappy.

Michael Vick was set to make his preseason debut Thursday
On Thursday, in the exhibition game the Philadelphia Eagles playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the star quarterback Michael Vick will play his first preseason game after putting on eagles jersey.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced his decision Tuesday about Vick playing in their third pre-season game, but did not elaborate on how much Vick would play.
"Michael will have an opportunity to play Thursday," said Reid. "It's been two years, we'll see how it works out. We'll see what he can do. He wants to get in. He's kind of set this as a goal and so did we. I think he's excited to get out there."
After spending 19 months in an American prison after pleading guilty in August 2007 to federal dog-fighting charges, Vick needs to do a lot of things to prove his ability and self-examination of his behavior.

Michael Vick Community Celebration will be postponed for schedule conflict
Michael Vick's hometown celebration was originally scheduled for Saturday, but organizers told reporters that the event will be help later because of a schedule conflict.
An organizer said that Vick will have to take part in an event in Atlanta with the Humane Society of the United States on the day the celebration was scheduled. The organizer was not sure yet about the nature of the Atlanta event or whether it was open to the public.
After he completed the 23-month federal sentence for running a dogfighting ring, Vick has been conditionally reinstated in the league, and the celebration in his hometown Newport News will be his first announced public event since his freedom. Now matter how many people will support or be critical of the celebration, one thing has been sure-26 NFL teams have said they’re not interested in signing the 29-year-old veteran quarterback. We have to wait for more time before Vick put on a team's football jersey.
